New Zealand Health Survey (NZHS)

Ipsos has been responsible for data collection for the New Zealand Health Survey (NZHS) on a continuous basis since 2011, on behalf of the Ministry of Health. The survey gathers essential information on health behaviours, long-term and acute conditions, health status, and the use of health services. It includes a core set of questions asked every year, supported by rotational modules that change each July.

New Zealand Household Travel Survey (HTS)

The Household Travel Survey collects information about day-to-day travel in New Zealand – how, where, when, and why people travel. These insights inform transport policy, road safety initiatives, and planning for walking, cycling, and public transport. Since 2015, Ipsos has carried out the Ministry of Transport's continuous travel survey using GPS technology and online forms.

New Zealand Crime & Victims Survey (NZCVS)

Ipsos was contracted by the Ministry of Justice in 2017 to design and deliver the New Zealand Crime & Victims Survey, which replaced the earlier Crime and Safety Survey. Because an estimated 70% of crime is not reported to Police, NZCVS provides a nationally representative picture of victimisation for people aged 15 and over. The survey runs continuously, with an in-depth module updated each year.

ACC Client and Provider Experience Surveys

ACC undertakes regular surveys to understand people's experiences interacting with the ACC system. The Client Experience Survey collects information about individuals' recovery journeys and outcomes after injury. The Provider Experience Survey gathers feedback from rehabilitation and treatment providers. Ipsos has been contracted to support data collection for these surveys from July 2025 to June 2026.
